So about my appointment yesterday.... It was SO awesome! Much much much better than I would ever expect! My doctor is the nicest person I have ever met. She was so sweet and so funny. Something so important, because let's face it, this woman is all up in your business! Her office is in the new IMC in Murray, and they have this whole women & newborn center, another plus. That place is SO nice, i'm actually excited to deliver my baby there! We got to hear the heartbeat and actually see the little bug. It was so cool and Jon looked like a kid in a candy store! The babies heart was racing, it was at 170! I measured 12 weeks exactly and she moved my due date to Nov. 3rd. However she told me not to get to comfortable with the idea of a November baby because she wasn't going to let me go to term because i'm so small and that I should plan on having a little pumpkin baby. Works for me :). She asked about my hyperemesis and actually wrote me another prescription. It's for reglan and I haven't tried that, so HOPEFULLY it works! So sick, but yesterday when I was driving I couldn't even make it over to the side of the road in time and just threw up all over myself. It was awful! But kinda funny too. Haha!
After the exam and ultrasound and all that we were talking and I told her I had been reading What to Expect when You're Expecting. She looked at me and said, please throw that away! I was so shocked! She told me that it was one of the worst books a low risk first time mother could read because all it does is tell you what could go wrong. This actually made me feel so much better because I have been a total stress case about this pregnancy, i've been worrying way to much about what could go wrong. I swear all I do is ask Jon to give me a blessing like everyday! It was really comforting to hear that I wasn't crazy and that everything with this pregnancy is totally normal. All in all, it was one of my favorite experiences. It all feels so much more real now, I keep just thinking about this little bug inside me.

It's rad how excited you are, and you should be! Your about to fall in love (if you haven't already) with the coolest little person. Congrats, I'm glad everything's still going well :)
I am glad you got to hear the little heartbeat- it makes up for all the rest of the stuff they do at your first appointment! Our babies could so be born on the same day- since your doc plans to start you early. I went over last time, and Nathan was HUGE! ( 9lb 3 oz) So my doctor also said he would start me early. I hope your new drugs work.
I am so excited for you. It seems like yesterday I was in the doctors hearing the heat beat for the first time! You are going to make a great mom. Yeah I agree it is about time we get together. Are you still down? We haven't decided on a name yet. I think it is between Gavin or Milo now. But we will see.
Isn't it amazing to see the baby! I have another appointment today and am way excited because I think I get to hear the heartbeat this time. So we could totally have our babies the same day considering I'm due Oct. 31st. I'm sorry you're still sick! I'm finally getting past the nausea but I have headaches a lot now. Probably because I need to eat better...But yay! I'm so excited to get fat together!
You are so cute. I can't wait for you and your hubby to meet your baby!! The heartbeat is amazing I think, wait until the ultrasound, that was the best for me!!!!
Yeah...I had to take Phenergan and Reglan. The combination of the two finally helped me. 170bpm...you are sooooooo having a girl! LOL. That's my prediction.
Anyhow...call me sometime.
XOXO
How long are you in town for?? We need to meet up!!! Call me, do you have my number??
How exciting! When do you find out what it is?
I'm so excited for you. Sorry you are so sick. "Morning sickness" is turning out to be going past the mornings it sounds.
I'm glad to hear that things are going well!! Did you know that you and Amber are like exactly the same weeks? She turned 12 weeks on thursday. I bet you are having a girl!! Can you feel your uterus now? It's fun when you can start feeling it. Good luck with the MS. Hope it gets better soon
So exciting Kaity!! Love it! It gets better and better from here... So much more real! Especially when you feel movement...
About the book... Yeah it does talk about everything scary BUT hang onto it because there were so many nights something weird would happen and so I'd look it up and it would be pretty normal. Of course I'd call the Dr.the next morning, but still, it got me through the night with peace of mind. Plus, I never read the SCARY stuff. (I'd just skip over that!)
Hope all is well!
okay okay. i suck at being a friend right now.
i'm neck deep in homework and trying to finish up projects before i take off to new york. probably the most irresponsible thing to do right now but i need a break! i'll be back on tuesday...the 6th. and i'm leaving this thursday.
until then i'm busy as all hell but i will try and come visit you at work or something! how long are you going to be down here for?
Isn't it the greatest when it becomes so real? You looked so great when I ran into you at 25main....No wonder you were eating there, you work a hop skip away! Well, I really hope you get feeling better! That sick thing must be NO fun at all!
That is so awesome you got to hear the heartbeat! its so crazy to think you have something living inside of you at the moment. Just wait till it starts moving around and way crazy. That heart beat is way fast i bet your having a girl! but i guess you never know so but congrats on your baby soon to come!
